The extensive underground workings were channel sampled and assayed during 2006. Using a 5% Zinc cut-off grade there are 855 five foot channel samples with an average grade of 19.26% zinc with 151 grams / tonne germanium. The underground and surface diamond drilling programs currently underway are expected to continue throughout the year. The company's objective is attaining near term cash flow from its' Tres Marias Mine. The Tres Marias produced high-grade zinc/germanium ore from 1949 until 1992 via small scale production and produced an average grade of 20% zinc, 300gm/tonne germanium and 6% lead. Production ended in 1992 after the smelter used by the former owner, Zinc National, was unable to continue processing raw ore and the project was shut down even though the workings were still in ore.
